We're looking for a new board of directors member!

We're on the lookout for a new member to join our Board of Directors. We've got a spot opening up due to a recent departure, and we're eager to find someone who's as passionate about our mission as we are. If you're keen to roll up your sleeves and share your ideas we would love to hear from you!

  • You are responsible for setting out the broader strategies and policies of the association
  • The board has 1 physical meeting a year at the EAPRIL office in Belgium in June. Bi-monthly we meet online. Your presence is also expected during the 3-day EAPRIL conference at the end of November
  • Each Board member is expected to be involved in one or two portfolio committees (1. Conference, 2. Association Development &/or 3. Clouds and In-between activities) to set out new and existing activities, in close cooperation with the EAPRIL Office.

You must have all your civil rights and meet one of the four following conditions:

  • The application is supported by at least 2 joined members
  • Be an EAPRIL member for at least 2 years
  • Have attended at least 2 conferences over a period of the last five years
  • Recognized by the Board as an expert or advisor from the field (= for candidates independent directors)

As we already have strong representation from The Netherlands and Belgium on the board and to ensure geographic diversity, we warmly encourage individuals from other regions to apply.

If you are interested in applying for a position in the Board, please e-mail a short description of your person (max. 200 words), a motivation statement (max. 200 words) and your CV to Stef Heremans (stef.heremans@eapril.org) by Monday April 15th 2024 midnight CEST.

Describe in your motivation statement what kind of future initiatives, improvements, strategic plans and/or policy decisions you envision for the EAPRIL association in the coming years.

If you are selected by the Board and appointed by the General Assembly, your two year term will start mid-June 2024.
Please note that this is a voluntary position without renumeration. Expenses for meetings will be covered.
